Howdy Beachcombers
Our Beachcombers are two to three years old, with their age group expanding on their experiences from Stargazers. We believe that development of social interactions and personal skills are of huge importance at this age. Our practitioners act as positive role-models helping our children to express themselves with kindness and respect for others.
Beachcombers I, II and III support our children in experimenting, investigating and finding their place in their world. They are gently encouraged as they begin to become more independent and find success in their individual milestones.
Discovering Your Path
Just as one combs the beach for treasure, our Beachcombers are given the means to investigate their curiosities. Their rooms showcase both the familiar and the imaginative to stretch thinking and develop learning. Small world, block play and dress-up stations are just a few of the ways that our children explore make-believe and also familiarise themselves with the world around them.

Beachcombers
Your child’s Keyworker will greet you each morning and give you a verbal handover at home time. For updates throughout the day, check out the Famly app.
Meal Times
Breakfast, lunch & tea with healthy morning and afternoon snacks are all home cooked by our Nursery Chef and eaten together as a family.
Rest Times
We follow home sleep routines in addition to supporting our children to sleep and rest at a time that is right for them. Whether it’s stretching out on a rest mat for a snooze or snuggling up in a relaxing cosy corner, our day always has opportunities for some quiet time.
Focused Activities
We encourage our children to lead their own learning with confidence. Our skilful practitioners initiate thoughts and conversation to inspire and create a desire for learning. Small group or individual activities such as art, cookery, sensory and discovery are enjoyed daily.
Child Initiated Learning
Daily discovery is of high importance and our learning spaces are created and adapted regularly for children to take a ‘hands on’ approach. Our children are able to make choices, developing their ideas and practising skills of independence.
Outdoor Learning
Our garden has been designed with imagination, inventiveness and exploration at it’s core. Water play, our cosy Beach Cottage and a ride in the Twynham House boat enable our Beachcombers to delve deeper into their imagination.
